Hello, and thank you for writing in. When dealing with alarm and starting issues, you are really dealing with a miscommunication with the alarm system. If you have a spare key, try using it to disarm the system and start it. You may also want to try key cycling "Off"-"On" without startingas it will make the computer reset its communication with all of the modules.

It usually takes cycles to achieve any kind of reset. Often with newer models, giving the vehicle some time to sit and trying again later helps the computer work through its programming, and it can reset itself.

The longer the vehicle sits, more of the systems will shut off, and more of these systems have to restart when you try again as some systems do NOT turn off when you turn off the engine, and they continue to use electricity to hold memory.

One of the other ideas to consider is that the new battery is not fully charged, or your battery terminals are not allowing for a proper connection either because they are loose or dirty, or have a bad ground connection. If none of the above gives you control over the vehicle, then you need to seek professional help.

MissChievous answered 3 years ago. Thank you very much. I have already taken it to the dealership still under warranty and they did nothing because the alarm did not go off in their presence.

It stopped for a few weeks and now it's doing it again. The only similarity between when it started and now is the weather. I checked the doors to make sure they were shut properly. The fob was no where near the car when the alarm went off. No odd electrical gremlins. I will get my car back to the dealership and insist on a fix.

Absolutely especially if its under warranty, they just don't want to take the time to find the problem cause it is under warranty, the techs don't make as much cause the problem is an intermittent, don't take it back until it is fixed and they can show what they had to do, or they will try another buffalo tactic on you.

Ben answered 2 years ago. Same problem with our Varvatos Edition. Champion Chrysler has had it 4 times, for a total of about two months at their garage and claims it has never gone off there. Even though it has gone off while we were dropping it off the last three times. Under warranty and I think they just don't want to deal with it.

Still does it and we have no idea why after being without our car for two months. Jennifer answered about a year ago.
