Hello, and thank you for writing in. When dealing with alarm and starting issues, you are really dealing with a miscommunication with the alarm system. If you have a spare key, try using it to disarm the system and start it. You may also want to try key cycling "Off"-"On" without startingas it will make the computer reset its communication with all of the modules.
It usually takes cycles to achieve any kind of reset. Often with newer models, giving the vehicle some time to sit and trying again later helps the computer work through its programming, and it can reset itself.
The longer the vehicle sits, more of the systems will shut off, and more of these systems have to restart when you try again as some systems do NOT turn off when you turn off the engine, and they continue to use electricity to hold memory.
One of the other ideas to consider is that the new battery is not fully charged, or your battery terminals are not allowing for a proper connection either because they are loose or dirty, or have a bad ground connection. If none of the above gives you control over the vehicle, then you need to seek professional help.

The most common fails in this or most of the other makes is the door switches, they get some crud or a little corrosion in them and they start making the security system and interior lighting go crazy, the problem is finding someone with the correct test equipment to find just what switch is acting up, maybe you have a shop that specializes in Chrysler products, if not then, I don't like saying it, your stuck with the dealership.

The fob was no where near the car when the alarm went off. No odd electrical gremlins. I will get my car back to the dealership and insist on a fix.
Absolutely especially if its under warranty, they just don't want to take the time to find the problem cause it is under warranty, the techs don't make as much cause the problem is an intermittent, don't take it back until it is fixed and they can show what they had to do, or they will try another buffalo tactic on you.

Even though it has gone off while we were dropping it off the last three times. Under warranty and I think they just don't want to deal with it.
